I am truly moved. This is my first visit to your blog, and the very first post that I am commenting on. But you said something in this post that is very powerful, and that was "I’ve asked others for forgiveness but couldn’t forgive myself… and, if I can’t forgive myself, how can I ever expect to really “walk away from”, or deal with these things that continue to plague me and entrap me in this vicious circle of self-destructive behavior?!" This statement is more powerful than you realize. I don't know you, and you don't know me. You and I simply cross paths on FLICKR or Twitter every now and then. But self-forgiveness is a very difficult thing. I don't know what your situation is, but I can tell you this: God has an amazing way of making situations like this look very small in the long run. Leaning on Him will help you put a stop to anything that haunts you. I am a huge fan of your work. You are very talented! Keep your head up and pray! It will all be okay in the end. Wow!
